I have seen many questions as of late concerning amazon affiliate links on Pinterest. Many are wondering how you add amazon affiliate links or amazon affiliate products on Pinterest. The fact is the last thing as an affiliate marketer that you should be concerned about is how to add amazon affiliate links on Pinterest. Instead you should be focused more on sending that traffic to your website. Once you have them on your website then you can direct them to your amazon affiliate links or get them on your opt-in list.

Some will say that this causes an additional click and people will not follow through because they have to click an additional link. This is not true at all, matter of a fact it is poor thinking when you have a mindset such as this. If people are interested in what you have to offer they will have no problem clicking an additional link.

The benefits of sending someone to your site first is huge. You got those visitors in your space now and can safely give them information on the product you are pushing. If you are linking to your site through your Pinterest images then you are building up your website and not the merchant (in this case amazon). You are keeping those visitors as your own and getting them on your opt-in list allows you to make more sales by also selling them something related to the original product.

Pinterest is gaining in popularity each and every day and has been ever since last year. The female crowd has a great deal to do with this popularity and many are jumping on that bandwagon. The most shared images on Pinterest are based around baby products, shower / wedding gifts, cooking and recipe images, and other female interest.

Because of this popularity many marketers are running over there and just trying to get their amazon affiliate link on images without thinking about a marketing strategy first. Affiliate managers should be teaching their affiliates better than to link directly to merchants but that was on reason of this thread being posted, hopefully it will educate some.
