I had to laugh even though it really isn't funny. Well, then again, yes it is! Haha!

Why would a thief of content take the following steps?

Go to Youtube, find a video you want/like, copy it making it's appearance poor quality, upload it as your own and then subscribe to the original owner's channel where they will receive notification by email that you subscribed complete with a link to your channel where you have displayed the copyrighted material? ???

But she did and I had to issue yet another DMCA take down notice.

I could have just met the world's dumbest thief, I mean if she hadn't subscribed, I may have never even known of the copyright infringement. :

You can report her channel and youtube will possibly shut it down (nothing stops her from creating a new account). Not sure how youtube handles copyrighted stuff and with all the changes to youtube recently I am not sure if there is an ignore or block feature.

Hmmm,

Now that you mention it, I haven't checked that either, I mean about a block button.

Anyway, I did report it and they had me fill out a copyright infringement form and submit that.

So far, they have sent me a confirmation letter notifying me that they received it, but not what comes next.

Come to think of it, my copied video was the only video she has uploaded, although she has had her channel for awhile.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, anyway.

They do that that imitation is the highest form of flattery - though I'm not sure that it applies to stealing your stuff!

Let us know if anything happens to her! Oh and yeah, you might be right, she may be the dumbest (or most gullible) thief in the world!

YouTube removed it with a screen shot that says removed due to copyright infringement reported by MissTerraK, or something to that effect anyway.

The terrible thing is, I ran across a website called ice something or other where you get paid for views on your videos on YouTube (with some sort of advertisement for the site) and within that site, they tell you that it doesn't even have to be your own video and offer a tool to buy that will copy someone else's video so you can upload it as your own!

Man, there are some people out there that call themselves marketers but are really sharks caring nothing about their clients! >
