I can not count how many times I have seen article creation go wrong because people refuse to use a text editor. Many writers swear by word and that is good for offline content creation. Writing articles online it is a bad thing, word adds special hidden characters to your content which makes it look like poor quality content on many sites.

I know people complain about text editors not having spell checkers but when it comes to high quality content you must learn to give up the worst program ever created, word! Start using a text editor that will do spell checking and not add all those word characters. NotePad++ is a great program for writing articles and content for the internet. It has spell checking and all the options you need without adding all the word characters.

Word which is a word processor and not a content creation app, adds characters to your files and when you try to use such content online many forms copy over those characters even if you do not see them. These characters then become visible in the browsers and makes your content look cheap and thrown together.

Image reading an article as a consumer with a bunch of ? ? ? ? throughout the article. Would you click any links or would you move on to other content that is properly formatted and easier to read ?

Personally I would move on.

Notepad++ can be downloaded for free and it has great options, the new version even has plugins for spell checking and other features. This is the best text editor to create content for Windows systems. Content creation is all about quality and that reflects upon your internet marketing when you have word characters all throughout your content.

I moved to Notepad++ about a year ago. This is how I write and save all my articles and blog posts now. Notepad++ uses very little memory and saving article in txt it uses much less hard drive space. Granted this is not much of a problem, unless you are on an older computer. My laptop is over 4 years old now.
