Creative Commons and Video Search Platforms

When it comes to video sites, youtube takes the cake for one reason. It's owned by the big G. And they know how to do one thing better than everyone else. Sort data. I've come to believe there is now a video for everything you ever want to know about on youtube, and many things you don't. I've been dripping videos onto a few channels over the years and it's intresting to see what people are looking for.

A clock spinning around and around is racking up the hits.

Just about everything I upload I do so with the notion that someone take it and do as they wish with it. Creative Commons. The production value is home movie at best and they still get a lot of play.

Things as simple as a 30 second clip of snow falling in Utah mountians may even rack up a few hundred views. Maybe it'll even bring in a dollar or so of some ad revenu, who knows.

Even when the video is really bad but people want the audio. You can turn those into something as well. This video of top end snowmobiles turned out bad because it was out of focus. But the sound may be worth something to someone. The point is you just never know if you have what someone is looking for, why not share it if you can.
