Hi guys
I don't usually get into video thingies, but one guy that is less overtly promotional than others is Andrew Hansen and he recently had a look at the manual reviewer 'guide-line' book drama that is circulating.... it is actually a good watch and brings up some good points. Although some may disagree with some things - other things re-inforce what is being taught here.
A great heads up for Affiliate marketers especially ...... (just as our fearless leader has been saying all along)
See what you think

(hope that's ok OA)

Started buffering at 12 minutes. I have reloaded it and letting it fully load first. So far it is talking about quality and relative content/sites. This is so far the same things that MD has tried to teach it's members. This is nothing new to those that have followed marketing plans and training.
I will wait to comment further until I hear the entire video.

Yeah I just thought that it was ironic/interesting/heartening that the basis for your teaching is now becoming mainstream - kind of a social validation for your own ideas and interpretation of the wants of a search engine.
Something that any newbies to MD should feel pretty confident about ;D

The amazing part is all this information is right on Google's own blog. It is not spelled out but it is right there and has been there for years. For those that can read between the lines we already knew what Google wanted and have been providing it to them.
As far as the "leak" of the report, who knows it could have been done on purpose for those spammers that do not know how to read between the lines. It amazes me how many people do not understand that websites are running a business and they will do what is needed to keep the spam away.
These businesses that care about their income and business will take whatever measures are needed to continue to provide Google what they want. Even if it ticks off a few people because the fact is the needs of the many out-weight the needs of the one.
Now I still not have watched that entire video because the site must have a poor server. I have reloaded it 5 times now and it still goes into the buffering mode at varies times.
But let's take ezine articles as an example in this case. They was slapped by Google becaise of the poor quality and junk spun articles. I personally never wasted my time submitting to them but every other marketer on the planet claimed how great they was and you should submit all your junk to them.
Since the panda update they have lost well over 1.5 million keywords and over half their traffic. This is due to abuse, spammers, and idiots that call themselves marketers but yet they know nothing about marketing. These people followed what others told them to do instead of testing, reading, visiting Google and finding out what Google wants.
Ezine was not the only article directory hit either, many of those (as people say) top article directories was hit hard. The fact is quality has always mattered and always will. Yes many do not understand what quality really means because I have heard it over and over that people claim their content is high quality.
When I read that content I laugh because I know it is not high quality. Many at ezine claimed to submit high quality articles but yet those articles are no longer in Google. This is because Google kicked out the junk. Writing 1,000 articles that all sound the same is one of the biggest problems in article marketing.
This is exactly what those marketers on ezine would do, write a few articles (and think they are high quality) and then spin them with some lame software that changed a few words here and there. Personally I would take 25 high quality fresh written articles over 1,000 spun articles because I know I could get more traffic, more benefits, and higher rankings with the 25.
I could go on but this is turning into an ebook.

I am not sure it was 'leaked'. Google sent me an email with the URL to it! Lol. (In webmaster tools.). And it does basically say want Ord has always said. Changing, useful, well written content, few affiliate links or links to sales pages, (unless it is an e-commerce site). Back-links are being de-graded, (they are no longer NOT de-grading a site's ranking due to 'spam sites' link TO it! They say it is up to you to contact the spam site and get the link to you removed!), and the time a URL is registered to the same person, (or time it is registered for going forward), is becoming more heavy of a factor. Page loading time is also getting a heavier weight in the algorithm. It will definitely get harder to rank overnight, but won't be impossible. And last, but not least, they are using Google+1 to determine social popularity! (It may be an Idea to have everyone +1 each other's sites?)

Yeah I got the same email - I guess they were just taken by surprise that someone actually read it and then tried to explain it!
I really don't have the time or energy to join plus 1 seriously just to get a bunch of links sent to it and social validation, so will have to rely on the social links on MD and my existing social networks .....
I also got an email from 3stepads saying that they were shutting down, they've been losing 80% of their traffic every time that an update happened and could no longer pay for hosting. Sad from an individual point of view, but I guess it is all part of creating a better internet experience for the user. Something that we should all be striving for.

No worries Rach as Google + will be abused soon enough and Google will probably rethink the idea. I could be wrong but I am sure many are already abusing it. I have been wrong once or twice in my life but this is how I see it going down.
Google is stepping right into it with their eyes blinded. Soon there will be google plus marketing, google plus - how to make money, google plus - increase rankings, google plus - get your backlinks here and the rest of the crap that marketers can think up to sell to newbies.
Google Adds Business Pages (http://searchengineland.com/google-pages-now-open-for-businesses-brands-places-more-100217)
There will be marketing special offers, ebooks, videos, sales pages pushing google plus as the new "traffic wave" and etc.

Google Panda Update (http://marketersdomination.com/post-panda-article-marketing/) seems to have many worried I am getting spam emails from self proclaimed guru marketers. The amazing part is how little they understand what the panda update really was about. On second thought they probably do understand what it was about but rather lie to people to sell some junk software or pipe dream.

Google Panda is the latest update Google made to the search results. It hurt a lot of website rankings and very popular websites.
